We love chocolate. It is our passion! We love the really good chocolate, the kind that comes from rare cocoa beans and the finest Belgian and Swiss ingredients. You know — the kind that snaps when you break it. The kind that will actually melt in your hand if you hold it too long! Trafton's started making candies for friends and relatives in 1995. They made caramels, turtles, and chocolate and caramel-covered apples. |
| Soon, friends began telling them that their chocolate were so good, they thought people would actually pay for it! Encouraged by friends and family, Trafton's started selling chocolate candy to small stores in Virginia Beach. Well, the rest, as they say, is history!
In 2008, Christine and Susan took over the Trafton's tradition and we are busier than ever and loving every minute of it! We’ve done so well that we now work full time making the world a tastier, happier and healthier place with our own chocolate confections. Our hands-on approach is part of what makes Trafton's Chocolates so good. In the chocolate business we are known as “artisans,” which distinguishes us from mass producers of machine-made candies. We make all our confections by hand and in small batches, just for you. Your candies are as fresh as if you made them in your own kitchen. Christine and Susan love to create new flavors and molded chocolates to accomodate even the most particular taste buds. All of this creativity goes the extra step to make sure the packaging “wows” you even before you bite into our delectable chocolate creations.
